This Privacy Policy applies to all personal data that Salinas Algarve processes of its guests.

If you book a stay at Salinas Algarve or provide personal data to Salinas Algarve for any other reason, you explicitly give permission to process your personal data in line with this Privacy Policy.

Salinas Algarve cares deeply about your privacy. We therefore only process data we need for (improving) our services and treat the information we have collected about you with care. We never make your data available to third parties for commercial purposes.

This privacy policy applies to the use of the website and the services accessed on it by Salinas Algarve. The effective date for the validity of these terms and conditions is 24-10-2018, with the publication of a new version the validity of all previous versions expires.

About data processing

We chose Hostnet.com for our web hosting. Personal information that you make available to us for the purpose of my services will be shared with this party. Hostnet has access to your data to provide us with (technical) support, they will never use the data for any other purpose.

 

Hostnet is required by the agreement we have with them to take appropriate security measures regarding your privacy. These security measures include the use of SSL encryption and a strong password policy. Regular backups are made to prevent loss of data.

Web hosting Hostnet

We purchase web hosting and e-mail services from Hostnet.com. We also use the services of Hostnet.com for our regular business e-mail traffic. Hostnet processes personal data on our behalf and does not use the data for its own purposes. However, this party may collect metadata about the use of the services. These are not personal data. Hostnet has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent the loss and unauthorized use of personal data. Hostnet is bound to secrecy under the agreement.

Beds24

For processing reservations and guest administration, we use Beds24. This channel manager has extensive personal data security so that your data cannot reach third parties. Beds24 is bound to confidentiality under our agreement with them and may not share data with third parties without express consent from you and me.

Purpose of data processing

General purpose of processing

We use the collected data solely for the purpose of providing our services. That is, the purpose of the processing is always directly related to your stay at Salinas Algarve in Olhão. 2. Which data is processed by Salinas Algarve and for what purpose

2.1 In the context of your stay, the following personal data will be processed:

• first and last name, date of birth, place of birth, gender
• address details, possibly postal address
• telephone number (s), e-mail address (es)
• Personal bank account or payment service details
• Passport and / or national ID data

2.2 Salinas Algarve processes the personal data referred to in 2.1 for the following purposes:

1. a) your name, address, telephone number and e-mail address – used for contact about the provision of the information requested by you and also for handling the information obtained from you,
2. b) your name, address, telephone number and e-mail address – used for registering the bookings and for the correction administrative processing thereof,
3. c) your name, address and telephone number – used for sending invitations and also for information about services and activities of Salinas Algarve;
4. d) Your name, address details, passport details – used for correct handling with the Portuguese authorities being the Finanças and the SEF, the tax authorities and the immigration authorities. The data will be kept for as long as Portuguese law requires.
5. e) your name and bank account number or payment service details – used to process payments for services purchased.
6. f) Your name, email address and telephone number will be used up to two years after the end of the agreement to ask you about your experiences with Salinas Algarve. We also use this to inform you about the developments of Salinas Algarve.

2.3 Special and/or sensitive personal data that we process

Our website and/or service does not intend to collect information about website visitors who are under the age of 16, unless they have permission from parents or guardians. However, we cannot verify whether a visitor is over 16. We therefore encourage parents to be involved in their children’s online activities to avoid collecting data about children without parental consent. 3. Retention periods

Salinas Algarve processes and stores your personal data for the duration of your stay up to a maximum of two years after this stay. However, or as long as Portuguese law requires this regarding the retention of administrative data for the tax authorities and foreigners’ authorities. We then subsequently destroy the personal data.

4 . Security measures and processors

4.1 Salinas Algarve has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data.

4.2 Salinas Algarve does not use the services of third parties for the processing of personal data.

4.3 We share your data with third parties only if this is necessary for the proper execution of the reservation. We share data only after obtaining your explicit permission for this.

4.4 Salinas Algarve uses the services of Hostnet.com for hosting and domain registration. Hostnet has taken appropriate measures to ensure secure storage of your personal data. These are exclusively automated systems where no personal action comes between them.

5. Right of inspection, removal and requests for complaints

5.1 Via the administration of Salinas Algarve you can submit a request to view, receive, change or delete your personal data. Salinas Algarve will process your request and inform you within one month of receipt.

5.2 If you wish to object to the (further) processing of your personal data as referred to in Article 2, you can also contact the administration.
